The
Endotine Midface Bone Implant consists of a tined platform with
an anchoring leash molded from a bioabsorbable material. Its differentiating
features are a shorter, thinner leash and platform to provide more
flexibility and less visibility in its placement over the infraorbital
rim. It's designed to be anchored into the infraorbital rim with
an absorbable anchoring screw, which is supplied with the implant.
The
surgeon uses a lower bleph incision to implant the device subperiosteally
in the infraorbital region. The tines are designed to engage the periosteum
and the malar fat pad from above for a vertical vector and secure,
reliable, fixation, with minimal visibility or palpability. A reusable
instrument kit is provided to drill and tap the hole, secure the anchoring
screw and clip the excess leash.
